The gently sloping sides of the saucier concentrate liquids and make stirring and whisking easier when cooking sauces, soups, or continuous-stir dishes like custard or risotto. The 2-quart size has a lid and is ideal for three to four servings. The 3-quart size is perfect for up to six servings.
